Continuing education required to renew a current TLC driver license.

Course format
The renewal course lasts four hours and does not require an exam.
Renewal steps
- Complete the TLC license renewal application
- Complete the renewal course
- Complete the annual drug test
- Complete the required defensive-driving course
Timing and frequency
Take the course within 90 days before your TLC license expires. The requirement returns every three years.
Why timing matters
Late completion may cause additional fees. Without the course, the TLC license cannot be renewed. Contact the academy if you need help with your renewal application.
