Who must take it
Drivers who receive an accessibility-related TLC summons, including violations involving wheelchair securement, must complete this three-hour course for each applicable summons.
Driver responsibilities
TLC drivers must assist passengers with wheelchairs or other disabilities when entering or exiting the vehicle and provide safe, respectful service.
Completion requirement
Applicants must complete the full course and every step of the hands-on passenger securement process, without exemptions.
Course outcome
Training supports compliance with NYC traffic and accessibility rules while helping drivers avoid future violations.
